Requirements for support frame construction and han-dling from the users’ viewpoint

CT-terminal operators, users and developers have been concerned with the design and handling because

• There is an interest in safe and most efficient handling;
• lifting of the wheelsets from the rail (“derailment”) up to overriding of buffers during unloading may occur in individual cases;
• The accident in Denmark and the con-sequences discussed require this.

The discussion of the topic and the formu-lation of the requirements was worked out in an expert group of the AGORA working group, will be made available on the web-site of the AGORA group and published as well as recommended for further dissemination and implementation. The members of the working group are committed to this.
